The Thought Provoking Art

James Thompson
Robert Burns The World Renowned
Scottish Poet Penned This Verse
"God give us the gift
to see ourselves as
others see us."
That verse echoes
my sentiments and
explains my art.
Incidentally we were both
born and raised in the
West of Scotland.
I first crossed paths with James Thompson or "JT" as I endearingly call him, at the swimming pool.
A man of substance, stamina, health conscious and humorous.  We shared a few stories, 
always leaving with a smile and some thought-provoking ideas for my poetry.  Next, art,
another common passion in my life.  However "JT's" art tells a story.   His keen eye for
observing life and people is brilliantly portrayed through his painting.  Each painting sends a
message of truth for our environment, feelings and emotions of the heart.  A unique message
captured in a person's expression or the cynical title of The evolution of pond life, the sense
of loss, yet faith in the painting.  I'm so sorry I wasn't there to say goodbye.
JT is a family man, proud Scot and creative genius who portrays simple everyday life in a
most thought provoking way.  Through his work he raises our awareness and consciousness
for the care of each other and our good earth."
